Installing Lync

Overview

This document lists the steps to install Lync for Windows operating systems.

Requirements

  • An Office 365 Faculty and Staff account
  • Access to Office 365 using Web Access
  • Windows operating system

Steps to Install Microsoft Lync

  1. Log in to your Office 365 account using Web Access (http://login.microsoftonline.com/).
  2. Click Install Lync.

  3. In the Install Microsoft Lync page:
    A. Select English (United States) in the Language: drop down menu.
    B. Select your Windows operating system version.
    NOTE: If you do not know where to find your Windows operating system version, click on the "Which Version?" link on the Office 365 downloads page.
    C. Click Install.

  4. Click Run in the Security Warning dialog box.

  5. Click Install.

  6. Click Yes.

  7. Click Close to complete the installation process.

Steps to Log In to Microsoft Lync

  1. In the Microsoft Lync Sign-In dialog box:
    A. Enter your CampusID e-mail address in the Sign-in address: field
    B. Enter your CampusID password in the Password: field
    C. Click Sign in
