Counseling and Testing Center

A Message From The Director

Welcome to The Counseling and Testing Center at Georgia State University, a service department within the Division of Student Affairs. This website is designed to provide information about our counseling, crisis services, consultation, outreach, teaching and testing services to the Georgia State community. We hope this interactive site will allow you to become acquainted with who we are, our mission, and the programs and services offered by our dedicated staff. Our clinical team provides individual, group and couples counseling services to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, in addition to consultation, teaching and educational programming to the broader university community. In addition, our professional Testing staff provides a wide range of testing services to students, faculty, staff and the Greater Atlanta Community.  These services include scanning and scoring tests for faculty, online (internet-based) testing for distance learning students, math placement testing, the MAT, CLEP, DSST, GRE, ACT, SAT, MCAT, LSAT, PRAXIS II, NET, CFA, and approximately 50 additional admissions tests and professional certification exams.

We encourage you to utilize our services and to view us as an integral part of your university support system. We are committed to working with you to facilitate your success at Georgia State.  Our services will provide you with practical tools to strengthen your personal awareness and help you to manage your current stressors.  Our overarching aim is to help you to develop in ways that allow you to take advantage of the educational and personal growth opportunities at Georgia State University.

Again, Welcome!!!
